Share your kinship family stories with the Children’s Bureau

This year National Foster Care Month is celebrating the impact of kinship caregivers. The Children's Bureau is looking for stories that capture initiatives and highlight best practices that have resulted in new and strengthened recruitment and retention strategies—specifically on building the capacity of kinship caregivers. The website will highlight resources that can help child welfare professionals create approaches for identifying, developing and supporting prospective and current formal and informal kinship caregivers.

We’ve identified your grantees as potential sources of Real-Life stories. This is a great opportunity for grantees to showcase the promising work they are doing.

If you would like to submit a story to be considered, please contact Kari Kryda at NFCM@childwelfare.gov. Stories must be submitted no later than September 19, 2017.
